Artist Statement
As an artist, I am driven to create. Whether I'm in the studio or the garden I am developing designs for my next piece. Inspired by nature and our connection to it, many of my designs include botanical, zoological, or oceanic inspired imagery. My love of music, with it's ability to invoke a multitude of emotions is another place I find inspiration for new design ideas.
Fused Glass is fast becomming a popular medium to work in, but all fused glass is not equal. I have always held my work to a high standard of craftsmanship, believeing that It is that standard that will set my work apart from the hobbist. I believe it is more important to spend the alittle more on time and materials when making a quality piece of art, than it is to sell at the lowest price. I know you'll agree that the true value is apparent in the finished product.
